With a liquid-to-flesh ratio comparable to watermelon, the rose apple is juicy and refreshing. Also known as the wax apple, Java apple, Semarang rose-apple and wax jambu. It is very common in the Southern Indian state of Kerala, where it is known as chambakka. Mangaloreans call it jamb.
